Gossip Girl is an American television teen drama based on the popular novel series of the same name written by Cecily von Ziegesar. Gossip Girl revolves around the lives of socialite young adults growing up on New York's Upper East Side who attend elite academic institutions while dealing with sex, drugs, and other teenage issues. Featuring an ensemble cast, the series mainly centers around the lives of former best friends, Serena van der Woodsen (Blake Lively) and Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester), and their shared romantic interest, Nate Archibald (Chace Crawford). As outsiders looking in, Dan (Penn Badgley) and Jenny Humphrey (Taylor Momsen) do not run in the same social or financial circles as their peers but are drawn into their lives nonetheless. The series is narrated by a seemingly omniscient character, "Gossip Girl" (voiced by Kristen Bell), who runs a blog about her fellow Upper East Siders — consequently stirring the pot and creating potential rivalries in this exclusive and vicious circle of friends.

i watched the first episode and i still dont know what is going on
the actors arent like the characters, and the action and directing kinda sucks.

cause at the opening theres this thing about a girl coming back from camp or wherever, then people saying that she'll steal their boyfriends, then her ex try to get her back but she doesnt want to, then her hitting on some guy *WIPE

I actually like Gossip Girl...I watched all of the first season.
Then again, I haven't touched the books so...maybe it's because I can't compare it to them?

But this type of drama isn't for everyone. It's a lot like the O.C....which I liked...the first season anyways. Then it went downhill.

Anyways, I like the characters and dialogue.

i didn't like it at first but now i really like it! it's so dramatic =O and i really wanna go to the restaurant they they went to called butter haha i'm going to try and get reservations for it next week! I guess its kinda cool cuz i know all the places they go to in that show, like bendel's (been there its kinda cool)

i thought gossip girl was kind of bitchy, but it was okay because it's mostly about high school life. so i guess it's okay.

but the ending of season 1 wasn't that good. well, it could have been better.
but the overall the story was kind of confusing. with serena having so much troubles and all that.

my sister watchs it for the bloney guy i forgot his name i thikn it was Chase or something.
