Hi, I tried to log in today and was told I wasn't a member and had to re-register, was there a change in the site?

Yep there was a change, we frequently get spam bots who sign up to our forum so we had a member validation put up to prevent them from posting, unfortunately, this also means that the new members wont get to post until they either validate themselves or we validate for them...

Also, we may have banned certain email addresses or IP addresses because they were being used by the spam bots, and doing that would cause other accounts to to be deleted unfortunately, but we have to get rid of the spam bots because it is a bit tiring to delete the posts and members just for them to come back *WIPE

Oi, I know what you mean, I don't have to delete any on my forums (thankfully) but I have noticed two spam messages as of late and I don't like it at all. Your like "ooh, there is a new message!" and you look and it is this dumb spambot! I hope that everyone adjusts to the change easily enough!

I read that spammers often use the e-mail addresses in their "victim" list to send out spam (which explains why I sent myself spam), so that means we could be blocking completly innocent people, so maybe that can help reduce the number of people in beenz's situation?
Anyway, I hope you don't have to re-register again.
