Well ,one of the signs to tell if you like someone is if you constantly think about them. Even if its something small, it reminds you of them for example, with the guy i like (btw I've moved on from my graphics teacher XD) he went to New York and was talking about how amazing it was, so now every time someone mentions New York to me, I think of him and how I'd like to go there one day. Also, thinking about them spontaneously counts too. So does thinking before you go to bed. And first thing you think about when you wake up. Although I think that's more of the "love" stage.

You see, I think your problem is, you are getting "like" and "love" mixed up. You may like someone a lot and have feelings for them, but you might not necessarily "love" them yet, as saying you love someone is actually a really big step and commit, don't say you love someone when you only just like them a lot (trust me on this one), it sends mixed messages *SIGH

As for liking someone, you feel comfortable around them, you want to talk to them a lot even if you feel you shouldn't (actually if you shouldn't then you want to talk to them MORE because of it), and you just want to spend time together. This is basically the same as friends until you start to feel "chemistry" between the two of you, like you start wanting him to like you back, you start wanting to hang out with only him and you want to impress him or something along those lines.

Yeah, my best advice is, ask yourself, do you like him or not (with the chemistry), as only with recognising the problem, does the solution come. -nods-
