Domains are so expensive :/ But personally, I think if you're gonna pay to get your board hosted, then you're better off getting your own domain and hosting it yourself - that way, you can host websites and other forums too. Plus, as far as I know, you can get a domain for $8 a year, and find web hosting for free. Cheaper than most paid forum hosting :]

You can have a free site and use their domain (i.e. have it be www.freevirtualservers.blah/starryheaven) and only need to include the link, or you can pay for a domain (I had to pay £2.50 for a year) and not have that one link. .co.uk domains are cheaper.
